Job Title: Local Credentialing Specialist (On-Site, Contract)Location: New York, NY (Multiple locations across Manhattan, Bronx, Brooklyn, and Queens)Duration: 8 WeeksStart Date: May 25, 2026Schedule: Monday-Friday | 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (35 hours/week)Pay Rate: $28/hour (W2)About the Role:We're looking for a detail-oriented Credentialing Specialist to support a fast-paced healthcare environment. In this role, you'll take ownership of the full credentialing lifecycle, ensuring providers meet all regulatory and organizational standards. If you enjoy working with data, compliance, and cross-functional teams, this is a great short-term opportunity to make an immediate impact.What You'll Do:Manage end-to-end credentialing processes including initial appointments, reappointments, and auditsCoordinate clinical privileging for medical staff and allied health professionalsPerform and track background checks and verifications using MDStaff softwareEnsure compliance with accrediting bodies, regulations, and internal policiesMaintain accurate and up-to-date provider records with strong attention to data integrityInterpret credentialing standards, bylaws, and applicable laws to ensure full complianceCollaborate with internal teams to streamline credentialing workflowsWhat We're Looking For:Prior experience in provider credentialing within a healthcare settingFamiliarity with credentialing platforms such as MDStaff (preferred)Strong understanding of regulatory and accreditation standardsExcellent organizational skills with a high level of accuracyAbility to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficientlyClear communication and problem-solving skillsWork Environment:100% on-site role (non-remote)Placement at one assigned facility (Manhattan, Bronx, Brooklyn, or Queens "” based on availability)Why This Role?This is a great opportunity to step into a high-impact position where your expertise directly supports quality patient care.
