This is a chance to join a high-impact, mission-driven team working on some of the most commercially sophisticated challenges in renewable energy today.The business operates across utility-scale and distributed assets, combining strong financial backing with a highly analytical, trading-oriented approach to portfolio management and optimization.The RoleThis is a senior individual contributor position within the Quantitative Analytics team, sitting at the heart of commercial and revenue strategy.You'll play a key role in developing and deploying quantitative models that directly influence trading decisions, asset optimization, and commercial structuring. Alongside hands-on technical work, you'll help mentor junior team members and shape how the team approaches complex analytical problems.It's a strong fit for someone who enjoys building models end-to-end but is also ready to step into a more influential, leadership-oriented position.What You'll Be DoingBuild and own models that drive trading strategy and portfolio optimization across solar and battery storage assetsDevelop pricing and risk tools for structured energy products and offtake agreementsAnalyze market dynamics (congestion, basis, curtailment, intermittency) to uncover commercial opportunitiesIntegrate data from across power markets, including weather, generation, and transmissionSupport battery storage optimization, including forecasting and day-ahead dispatch strategiesReview and structure commercial agreements, identifying risks and opportunitiesApply machine learning and optimization techniques to improve forecasting and performanceMentor junior team members and contribute to a high-performance, collaborative culturePartner closely with commercial, development, finance, and asset management teamsWhat We're Looking For5-8 years' experience in power markets, trading, or quantitative analytics within energyStrong Python and SQL skills, with experience working in collaborative codebasesSolid understanding of power market dynamics and pricingExperience with structured products, derivatives, or energy contractsExposure to machine learning or optimization in a commercial settingAbility to translate complex analysis into clear, actionable insightsA proactive mindset with the ability to operate independentlyInterest in mentoring and helping develop junior talentBackground in renewable energy (solar, storage) is a strong plusWhy This Role?Direct impact on trading strategy and revenue generationExposure to both renewables and battery storage optimizationClear pathway into technical leadershipHighly collaborative, commercially driven environmentOpportunity to work on cutting-edge problems in the energy transitionCompensationCompetitive base salary ($150,000 - $170,000) plus bonus and comprehensive benefits
