Business Analyst II - Deal Closing & Monitoring (Financial Risk)Midtown Manhattan, NY (Hybrid)Up to $70/hour | 6-Month Contract (Potential for Conversion)Our client, a leading global corporate and investment bank, is seeking a Business Analyst II to join their Deal Closing & Monitoring team within Financial Operations. This is a high-impact, middle office role supporting the full lifecycle of complex lending transactions across multiple business lines.This opportunity offers strong exposure to front office, risk, and legal teams, with the potential to convert to a full-time position.Work Schedule Hybrid: 3 days onsite in Midtown Manhattan, 2 days remote In line with company policy (including select Mondays and Fridays onsite)Position OverviewThis role sits at the center of the loan lifecycle, ensuring that transactions are accurately executed, properly booked, and actively monitored from closing through repayment. The ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of credit products, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple deals in a fast-paced environment.You will act as a key liaison between front office, operations, risk, and clients to ensure seamless execution and ongoing compliance.Key Responsibilities:Deal Closing & ExecutionSupport pre-closing and closing activities for new credit facilitiesReview credit agreements and validate alignment with approved termsEnsure all conditions precedent (CPs) are satisfied prior to fundingCoordinate with internal teams to ensure accurate deal booking in Loan IQPortfolio Monitoring & Lifecycle ManagementManage a portfolio of loan transactions from closing through terminationMonitor borrower compliance with financial and reporting covenantsTrack collateral positions and ensure timely updates and valuationsSupport amendments, waivers, and restructurings as neededRisk & Compliance OversightIdentify and escalate covenant breaches or potential risk issuesEnsure adherence to internal policies and regulatory requirementsSupport collateral reporting and ongoing risk control processesOperations & CoordinationPartner cross-functionally with Front Office, Risk, Legal, Finance, and Operations teamsMaintain accurate records, reconciliations, and funding activity trackingAssist with process improvements and operational efficiency initiativesCommunicate directly with clients to support financing requests and reporting requirementsQualifications5+ years of experience in commercial lending, loan operations, or credit support within a bank or financial institutionStrong understanding of loan products, credit agreements, and financial statementsExperience with loan lifecycle processes (closing, booking, monitoring)Familiarity with Loan IQ or similar loan systems strongly preferredExcellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneouslyStrong communication and organizational skillsAbility to work effectively under pressure in a deadline-driven environmentWhy This RoleHigh visibility role with exposure to multiple business linesOpportunity to work closely with front office and senior stakeholdersStrong potential for full-time conversionCompetitive hourly rate up to $70/hourIf you're interested in a role that combines deal execution, risk oversight, and cross-functional collaboration within a top-tier banking environment, we'd like to hear from you.
