Collections Analyst

Our client is looking to hire an Analyst - Worldwide Compliance to support royalty compliance and cash collections across their global licensing business. This is an initial 9-month contract fully onsite opportunity.Contract- 9 months Schedule -Onsite in NYC What You'll Be DoingReview contracts and compare financial terms against royalty statements to ensure complianceTrace financial activity across the contract lifecycle to identify and resolve discrepanciesPartner with internal teams and licensees to correct reporting and submission errorsTroubleshoot system access and reporting issues related to royalty processingReach out to licensees to resolve open AR balances and compliance issuesMonitor expected cash flow and ensure timely receipt of paymentsMaintain accurate tracking of receivables and collection statusesAssist with unapplied payments and support invoice/account balance inquiriesSupport month-end close activities and ad hoc reporting needsWhat We're Looking For3-5 years of experience in royalties, licensing, collections, or accountingStrong understanding of general accounting principlesExperience reviewing contracts and identifying financial discrepanciesStrong Excel skills for tracking, reporting, and analysisAbility to troubleshoot issues and identify root causesStrong communication skills and ability to work with multiple stakeholdersHighly organized with strong attention to detail and time managementQualificationsB.A. or B.S. in Business, Finance, or related fieldExperience in operations finance, accounting, or licensing preferredMust be able to commit to the duration of the contractNice to HaveRoyalty accounting experience (big plus)Experience in music, publishing, or media industriesExperience with both royalties and cash collections
