Reporting to the VP Data Insights, you will bridge the gap between technical complexity and fashion-forward business growth by managing requests, troubleshooting operational issues, and delivering actionable insights that influence our global strategy.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Liaison & Support: Act as primary point of contact for business units (Sales, Production, IT, Finance, Marketing, Ecommerce), managing change requests and troubleshooting daily data challengesInsight Generation & Root-Cause Analysis: Analyze complex data to identify trends and perform deep-dives to explain the "why" behind performance shifts, providing clear visibility to leadershipWorkflow & Requirements Documentation: Build deep content knowledge on how business users interact with data. Document high-level workflows and translate them into clear, actionable technical requirementsSolution Development & Validation: Define and validate transformation logic for reporting and analytics. Partner in the development process to ensure proposed solutions address core business needsTesting & Implementation: Develop and facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT) plans. Provide end-user training to support successful implementation and adoption across the brand.Process & Governance: Proactively identify data quality issues and recommend sustainable solutions that align with established data governance standards.Executive Readiness: Prepare data visualizations and "executive-ready" briefing materials for the VP to present to senior leadership.QualificationsRequired:Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field3+ years of Business Analyst experience, ideally within the Retail, Fashion or IT sectorsProficiency in Data Visualization and BI Design using Power BIExperience supporting operations across wholesale, retail, and eCommerce channels, with an understanding of multi-channel business dynamicsExperience with Azure platformSolid understanding of Data Modeling, dashboard optimization, and transformation logicStrong ability to document business processes and translate messy data into structured insightsAbility to build strong relationships and bring about cooperation from cross-functional teams and technical stakeholdersAgility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentPreferred:Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and familiarity with Python or R for automationUnderstanding of industry-specific KPIs like sell-through, inventory turn, or e-commerce metricsExperience building "what-if" models to help evaluate the impact of business or vendor changesWhat We OfferCompetitive base salary and performance-based incentivesComprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefits401(k) with company matchPaid time off, holidays, and company-sponsored wellness benefitsEmployee discounts across G-III brandsA collaborative, entrepreneurial work environment with career growth opportunitiesCompensationSalary Range: $90,000 - $100,000 (commensurate with experience)Please note that the foregoing compensation information is a good-faith assessment associated with this position only and is provided pursuant to the New York City Salary Transparency Law.G-III's owned brands include DKNY, Karl Lagerfeld Paris, Donna Karan, Vilebrequin, Sonia Rykiel, G.H.
