Senior Designer, Womens SportswearBrand: HalstonLocation (On-Site): New York City, Midtown Manhattan - Fashion DistrictResponsibilitiesDevelopmentResearch current trends and forecast evolution on said trends within our brand identityApply findings from research (including blog, magazine, store, street-style, vintage exploration) to a seasonally relevant, cohesive collection that is well balanced in fabrication and thoroughly merchandisedCommunicate seasonal concept/design intent to factories - request preliminary treatments + mock-upsSample PhaseGenerate tech-packs with clear silhouette, garment construction, and trim information to overseas factoriesReceive prototype, fit and communicate adjustments to overseas factories via photographs, spec notes, and diagram sketchesEvaluate collection standing and sketch + refabricate to support seasonal objectives within line plan/SKU countExaggerate visual cues to reinforce concept + transcribe amplified garments to runway program with stylistSupport Collection to ProductionAid Merchandising Team and Senior Vice President of Design during department introduction to new seasonFollow garment to production with Production Managers - ensuring correct development + color allocation applied to each bodyField Merchandising RequestsQualificationsMust have high end background with an extensive knowledge of WOVENSOver 8 years of Industry experience including retail, wholesale, pattern drafting + draping, print designCandidate Requirements:CV/Resume AND Work Samples (Portfolio URL) Required for Initial ConsiderationThe pay range for this position is: $115k per year - $150k per year.Please note that the foregoing compensation information is a good-faith assessment associated with this position only and is provided pursuant to the New York City Salary Transparency Law.
