Job Description:
Permanent Clerical Associate The mission of the Bureau of Environmental Disease Prevention is to prevent environmental disease in homes, communities, and the workplace, and to protect health by promoting healthy environments and health equity. The position will report to the Bureau's Senior Administrative Manager, who is the Bureau's admin lead, and will support daily administrative operations for all five programs within the Bureau. Duties include but are not limited to: Facilities Liaison Maintain reception desk/Customer Service Representative Receive and deliver all outgoing/incoming mail/packages to the appropriate bureau offices Maintain and distribute office supplies to bureau staff upon request Assist bureau staff with the preparation of folders/packages/mass mailings and other materials as needed Submit and follow-up on General Administrative requests/issues such as requesting work IDs, requesting Tribunal ID numbers for field staff, responding to requests for schedule information for new hires, submitting requests for Citytime schedule and approver changes Other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications: Qualification Requirements: A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent approved by a State's department of education or a recognized accrediting organization and one year of satisfactory clerical experience. Skills Requirement Keyboard familiarity with the ability to type at a minimum of 100 key strokes (20 words) per minute. Preferred Skills: A strong customer service background, excellent oral and written communication skills, courteous telephone manner, basic computer literacy with the desire to learn additional computer skills. Ability to perform some heavy lifting. This position is also open to qualified persons with a disability who are eligible for the 55-a Program.
