Staff Accountant

Jenny & Francois is an established 26 year old wine importing/distribution company in Tribeca. We are looking for a skilled and organized person for an Accounting position, with other added responsibilities which are industry-specific and will require additional in-house training. Attention to detail, an openness to wearing a few "hats" and taking on responsibilities outside of the accounting role are a must.Interested in this role You can find all the relevant information in the description below.Responsibilities will include:-Support day-to-day accounting operations including processing invoices, tracking payments, and reconciling accounts. Ensure timely and accurate payments to vendors.-Support bookkeeper with AR collections and customer communication-Submit and manage TTB applications for Certificates of Label Approval/Exemption (COLAs) -Assist in implementing and reinforcing internal controls, accounting policies, and workflow improvements.Qualifications and Experience-Detail oriented with a proven track record of professional progression-Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.-2-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a CPG, retail or hospitality environment or public accounting.-CPA certification or progress towards certification preferred.-Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.-Experience with Quickbooks or an ERP.-Proficiency in Google sheets and Excel with ability to use Filters, Vlookup, Pivot TablesA successful candidate will be detail-oriented, agile and a professional individual who is a self-starter, able to work independently, but also prides themselves on contributing within a team.The position is full-time with a competitive salary and benefits including paid days-off, healthcare and a profit-sharing plan.
