Position Summary The Hynes Institute for Entrepreneurship & Innovation at Iona University invites applications for a full-time tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning in August 2026. Faculty are expected to demonstrate a commitment to teaching excellence at the undergraduate and graduate levels, work within a collaborative and interdisciplinary environment of entrepreneurship educators, pursue an original research agenda (which may include applied and educational research), and engage in service activities. In addition, the candidate will work closely with the Hynes Institute team to develop and support curricular and co-curricular learning opportunities for Iona students. Applications should include a formal letter of interest indicating teaching and research interests, a CV, a teaching statement, and at least three academic references. Minimum Qualifications Candidates must have earned (or completed the requirements for) a Ph.D. in entrepreneurship or a closely related field before August 2026. Evidence of successful teaching at the collegiate level. Evidence of academic, applied, and/or educational research in the field of specialization. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with faculty, staff, and students in a multicultural/multiethnic suburban campus environment with a substantial population of first-generation students. Prior entrepreneurial experience (preferred but not required) About the Hynes Institute The Hynes Institute for Entrepreneurship & Innovation was established in 2017 through a record-setting $15 million gift from James P. Hynes 69, 01H and Anne Marie Hynes.
