We invite candidates with expertise in Shakespeare and Early Modern literature, preferably with a pedagogical and scholarly agenda that would contribute to a number of curricular and research initiatives in the department and university, including ecocritical or posthumanist studies, pedagogical scholarship, textual studies, global premodern studies, world literature, and other questions of embodiment more generally.The successful candidate will be expected to design and teach advanced undergraduate and graduate courses in Shakespeare and Early Modern literature and culture. The standard teaching load for this position is 18 credits per year. In addition, the successful candidate will be expected to maintain an active program of scholarly research leading to publication, effective teaching and mentoring, and service within the University and disciplinary community.
