JOB DESCRIPTIONInsight Global is seeking a Key Account Manager for a natural gas utility company based in New Orleans. This role is focused on supporting and growing an existing portfolio of utility customers while assisting with new service buildouts and system expansion projects. The Key Account Manager will work closely with internal engineering, finance, and operations teams to support customer requests, evaluate proposed projects, assist with cost and revenue analysis, and ensure contracts and agreements are accurately maintained. While this role includes customer-facing responsibilities, it is well suited for someone who has worked within a natural gas utility environment and has strong attention to detail, comfort with numbers, and an interest in the commercial and accounting side of utility operations. This position supports gas supply and transportation activities and requires regular in-person engagement with customers, with an approximate 50/50 split between office-based work and external meetings. The role reports directly to senior leadership and contributes to longer-term customer and commercial strategy.REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE3-5 years of experience working within a true natural gas utility environment (distribution or pipeline utility, not O&G or adjacent industries)Prior experience in a natural gas utility role, such as pipeline sales representative, utility marketing representative, or a commercial/customer-facing utility positionExposure to natural gas utility operations, including gas supply, transportation, or servicing commercial and industrial customersDemonstrated aptitude for detail-oriented work, including exposure to accounting concepts, billing, contracts, or commercial analysisAbility to work cross-functionally with engineering, finance, and operations teamsBachelor's degree or equivalent experience in finance, accounting, business, engineering, or a related fieldNICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCEExperience supporting new customer service installations, load growth, or system expansion projects within a natural gas utilityExposure to capital cost evaluation, revenue analysis, or simple payback calculationsExperience assisting with contract renewals, amendments, or long-term service agreementsBackground working with an established customer base rather than primarily new logo salesComfort presenting information or recommendations to internal leadershipOpen to candidates willing to relocate!
