Full Time Security Officer (Cultural Property) Schedule:Thu: 9:30 AM–8:15 PMFri & Sat: 9:30 AM–5:15 PMSun: 10:15 AM–5:15 PMTotal of 31 hours per week Position Overview:We are seeking a reliable Security Officer to support an artistic environment by ensuring safety, security, and exceptional customer service. The Security Officer plays a key role in maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment. This position requires attention to detail, excellent observation skills, and the ability to interact professionally with visitors, staff, and colleagues.The ideal candidate is dependable, customer‑service oriented, and able to respond effectively to incidents or emergencies as they arise.Key Responsibilities:Conduct regular tours of assigned areas (requires extensive walking, stairs, and elevator use)Perform fire door checks at start and end of shiftMaintain and secure assigned access keysClear and inspect stairwells and bathrooms at end of shiftReport abnormalities, safety issues, or incidents to main controlAssist with emergencies and follow established response proceduresRequirements:Ability to walk/stand for long periods and navigate stairsStrong observation and communication skillsProfessional, dependable, and customer‑service oriented Qualifications:Active Connecticut State Guard CardActive Connecticut State Driver's License - Reliable transportation & Clean Motor Vehicle HistoryHigh School Diploma or GED1 year of Security Experience required- Military/ Law Enforcement experience may substituteCalm, polite, and professional demeanor.Reliable and self-motivated.High level customer service We help make your world a safer place. Securitas is a global company that offers the most advanced and sustainable security solutions in the industry.
