We are currently seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Machinist to join our second shift (Monday-Friday, 2:30pm-11:00pm) manufacturing team. This role is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC milling machines to produce high mix, low volume precision components that meet exact specifications and quality standards.What you'll do: Set up and operate CNC lathe machines to produce a variety of parts and products to specificationRead and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructionsSelect appropriate tooling, fixtures, and cutting parametersPerform in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges, etc.)Make program edits and offsets as needed to ensure quality and efficiencyMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work areaWork collaboratively with engineering, quality, and production teamsTroubleshoot machining issues and recommend process improvementsAdhere to all safety, quality, and company standards What we need: Applicants should have the following skills and abilities. Minimum five (5) years of CNC Lathe experience in a manufacturing environment requiredPrior experience setting up and running NLX or Mazak Lathes preferredStrong understanding of CNC machining principles, tooling, and materialsAbility to read and interpret complex mechanical drawings and GD&TExperience with tight tolerances and high-precision parts Knowledge of Feed & Speed Experience machining stainless steel, alloy steels, and other specialty materialsFamiliarity with high-mix, low-volume manufacturingFamiliarity with ISO-style quality systems Demonstrate excellent safety practices & housekeeping Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently as well as part of a team Manual machining experience and/or grind experience a plus Willingness to work a minimum of eight hours of overtime per week on an as-needed basis during busy times What you get: Riverhawk Company offers a competitive pay and benefit package for their employees.
