Posting Summary Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Job Coach for the Center for Adult Autism Services. Among the key duties of this position are the following: * Works within the instructional setting under the supervision of a behavior analyst to support the vocational and recreational goals of adults with autism. * Provides direct care to adults with autism in a variety of settings and contexts (e.g., community, vocational, recreational, center-based, etc.). * Implements ABA instructional and behavior reduction programming as is appropriate under the supervision of a BCBA. * Collects and maintains data to support progress monitoring of skill acquisition and behavior reduction programming. * Maintains an efficient and organized instructional environment. This may involve the preparation of instructional materials, the creation/maintenance of data storage systems (e.g., binders), and/or physically arranging the instructional space. Certifications/Licenses Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities * Must have an interest in school climate and culture. * Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills. * Demonstrated attention to detail. * Ability to work well with adults with autism that have significant educational, physical, and/or behavioral support needs. * Ability to complete training in crisis management. * Ability to complete accurate service documentation and billing notes in accordance with insurance requirements. Preferred Qualifications * Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities. Equipment Utilized Physical Demands and Work Environment * Standing and walking for extended periods, working outdoors, ability to follow safety procedures. Special Conditions * Must be able to work 12 - 19.5 hours per week on a set schedule with majority of hours during regular work and school day hours (a subset of hours between 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.).
