NYS Licensed Veterinary TechWe are looking for a NYS Licensed Veterinary Technician to add to our growing team. Our staff works hard at establishing client relationships and provides excellent customer service. This candidate will need to efficiently perform all tasks necessary to support the doctors. They must provide client and patient services with compassion and care.Our Core Values:We are looking for people who fully align with our core values - how we act and behave towards our patients, clients, and each other.Committed: We are motivated to achieve the best possible outcomes.Optimistic: We exude positivity and unity.Supportive: We go out of our way to provide a friendly, caring experience.You will be responsible for:Preparing patients for surgeryPerforming laboratory work, radiographs, and other diagnostic equipment.Administering medication.Providing the best inpatient and outpatient care.Supporting the Doctor effectively and professionally.Always providing excellent client and patient services.Preparing exam rooms for patients and anticipating procedures, as well as the needs of the individual patients.Proper completion of the admissions and discharges.Handling and restraining the patient.Doing nail trims, dental procedures, vaccine administration per protocol, and other tasks as needed.Cleaning the exam area and equipment used during the examination.Keeping exam rooms, surgery rooms, pharmacy, and tech stations clean, organized, and stocked.Verifying that all documentation required in the file is added promptly.Cash handling and payment processing.Professionally review discharges with the client.Verifying the patient chart has been updated for billing purposes.Must work well individually and as an active team member.Must have basic knowledge of medical terminology.Must possess the skills necessary to analyze situations accurately and take effective actions.Must possess the ability to proficiently utilize clinic computer software and Microsoft programs.Experience Needed:A minimum of 2 to 5 years of veterinary experience is preferred.Required: A.S. degreePreferred: Certified, Licensed, or Registered TechnicianContinued Education: Up to date with state requirements.
