Key Responsibilities: Drywall Estimation: Prepare accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for diverse drywall projects, detailing material costs, labor, and equipment requirements. Bid Preparation: Create detailed bid proposals for drywall contracts, collaborating with internal teams to ensure accuracy and completeness of all necessary documentation. Project Coordination: Work closely with project managers, architects, and contractors to review specifications, blueprints, and project requirements for precise estimating. Cost Analysis: Conduct thorough cost analyses and feasibility studies to identify potential cost-saving solutions without compromising quality. Takeoffs and Quantification: Perform meticulous material takeoffs and quantification for all drywall scopes of work. Subcontractor and Vendor Coordination: Partner with subcontractors and suppliers to secure competitive quotes for materials and labor. Contract Review: Assist in the review and negotiation of contract terms, focusing on scope, pricing, and change orders. Software Proficiency: Utilize drywall estimating software (e.g., QuickBid, PlanSwift, OST) to develop estimates and maintain accurate cost records. Budget Monitoring: Support project managers in tracking project budgets to ensure financial efficiency throughout the lifecycle of projects. Client Interaction: Act as a resource for clients, providing expert support and addressing any inquiries related to estimates or drywall work. Qualifications: 5+ years of experience estimating drywall projects in a commercial context. Proficiency in drywall estimating software such as QuickBid, On-Screen Takeoff (OST), PlanSwift, or a similar tool. Strong understanding of drywall materials, techniques, and relevant commercial building codes. Expertise in material takeoffs, bid preparation, and detailed cost analysis. Adept at interpreting architectural drawings, blueprints, and technical project specifications. Exceptional communication and negotiation skills. Ability to effectively manage multiple estimates and meet tight deadlines. Detail-oriented with an unwavering commitment to accuracy in estimates. Familiarity with the commercial construction project lifecycle and related processes. A degree in Construction Management or a related field is a plus, though not mandatory.
