Posting Details Position Information Job Title On-Call Regional Program Coordinator (Grant Funded) Job Summary Under the direction of the Motorcycle Safety Regional Program Manager, the on-call Regional Program Coordinator is responsible for the overall coordination of the Detroit Metro Regional Motorcycle Safety Consortium. Schoolcraft is a comprehensive, open-door, community-based college. The mission of the College is to provide a transformational learning experience designed to increase the capacity of individuals and groups to achieve intellectual, social, and economic goals. Job Duties * Coordinate the operations of the Detroit Metro Regional Motorcycle Safety Consortium, including but not limited to BRCs, BRC2s, ARCs, 3WBRCs, and RiderCoach Preparation Courses. * Create and maintain class schedule and the RiderCoach schedule for all sites operating within the Consortium; track, maintain, and distribute the RiderCoach schedule throughout the training season. * Develop, coordinate, and facilitate annual meetings and instructor professional development opportunities, including the consortium kickoff meeting, the BRC/ARC range refreshers, and classroom refresher meetings. * Monitor classroom supplies and motorcycle ranges, identify range maintenance/painting needed for each training site throughout the Consortium. * Assist the Regional Program Manager with the preparation and curriculum revisions for the Motorcycle Safety Program to comply with federal and state regulations and align with the Motorcycle Safety Foundation standards. Develop written policies and procedures, establish program standards, and modify as needed. * Evaluate instruction, programs, examinations and outcomes to ensure quality service and continuation of funding. Advise and assist the Program Manager with implementation of program improvements. * Develop and maintain a good working relationship with program stakeholders, including but not limited to other Schoolcraft departments, Motorcycle Safety Program staff, dealers, schools, Michigan Rider Education Program, Office of Highway and Safety Planning, Michigan Secretary of State, Department of Transportation, the Motorcycle Safety Foundation, and others. * Provide an appropriate environment for student success on the range and in the classroom. * Participate in outreach efforts and act as a resource to instructors, MSF staff, and community regarding the Motorcycle Safety Program. * Perform additional, related duties as may be assigned to accomplish program objectives. Required Qualifications * High school diploma / GRE. * Three (3) years of teaching and/or managerial experience required. * Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word & Excel) and/or similar software. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * A valid Michigan driver's license and valid motorcycle endorsement. * Ability to multitask and prioritize; must be flexible within the working environment and able to relate well with diverse populations. * Ability to lift and/or adjust equipment (up to 50 lbs.) related to motorcycle supply deliveries, classroom objects, boxes of paper, etc. Preferred Qualifications * Bachelor's degree preferred. * Experience as a motorcycle safety instructor preferred.
