This position owns the entire service experience-from travel and customer communication to estimating, repair execution, documentation, and payment collection. The role requires strong technical expertise, professionalism, and the ability to operate independently while representing the company brand in the field.Key ResponsibilitiesField Service & RepairsPerform mobile diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on a wide range of RV systems, including but not limited to:Electrical (12V/120V)Plumbing and water systemsAppliancesHVACSlide-outs, leveling systems, and general mechanical componentsComplete repairs safely, efficiently, and in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and company standardsVerify repair quality before job closeoutCustomer Interaction & Service ExperienceServe as the primary point of contact for customers during mobile service visitsCommunicate findings, repair options, timelines, and costs clearly and professionallySet realistic expectations and provide status updates throughout the service processMaintain a courteous, solution-oriented approach while working at customer locationsEstimates, Work Orders & DocumentationDiagnose issues and prepare accurate service estimates in the fieldCreate, update, and close work orders using company systems or toolsDocument labor, parts used, photos, and repair notes thoroughly and accuratelyObtain customer authorization prior to performing work beyond the original estimatePayment & Administrative ResponsibilitiesCollect payment upon service completion in accordance with company policiesEnsure proper handling of invoices, receipts, and payment confirmationsMaintain accurate records for billing, warranty, and compliance purposesTravel & Vehicle ResponsibilityTravel to customer locations as assigned, managing routes and schedules efficientlyOperate and maintain company-provided service vehicles, tools, and equipmentMaintain inventory of commonly used parts and supplies, notifying leadership of replenishment needsMaintain accurate DOT travel and trip records for driversReview driver logs, electronic logging device (ELD) data, and mileage reportsEnsure compliance with DOT Hours of Service (HOS) regulationsVerify supporting documents such as fuel receipts, tolls, and trip sheetsIdentify and report log discrepancies or violationsCompliance & SafetyFollow all safety protocols, DOT requirements (if applicable), and company policiesMaintain required licenses, certifications, and trainingRepresent the company professionally in appearance, conduct, and workmanshipRequired Qualifications3+ years of RV technical repair experienceStrong working knowledge of RV systems and diagnosticsAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionProficiency using mobile devices, service software, and digital documentation toolsValid driver's license with acceptable driving recordAbility to lift, bend, kneel, and work in varying outdoor conditionsPreferred QualificationsRVTI certification or equivalent technical certificationsPrior mobile service or field-based technician experienceCustomer-facing service experience with payment handlingFamiliarity with warranty and insurance repair documentationSkills & CompetenciesStrong problem-solving and diagnostic skillsExcellent time management and organizationClear written and verbal communicationHigh level of accountability and ownershipProfessional judgment in customer-facing situationsWork Environment & SchedulePosition requires extensive travel, with approximately 80% of time spent on the roadAssignments may involve continuous travel for periods of up to 8 weeks at a timeTravel is nationwide and may include varying locations and environmentsFlexibility and adaptability to changing schedules and locations are essentialAbility to work independently while traveling is requiredMust be comfortable with overnight travel Exposure to outdoor environments and varying weather conditions
