Job Description:
Position Summary Responsible for shipment and delivery of prepared products to customers within specified due dates; ensuring the accuracy and completeness of orders. Ensure materials and components are received and available for production use. Standard Work: Essential Duties Committed to the Mission, Vision, and Values of Nicolet Plastics LLC. Follow all safety policies and procedures. Acquire the necessary report that details customer purchase orders, product due dates and quantities for accuracy of shipment. Examine finished goods and compare with customer order report to verify accuracy of shipment. Pack, seal, label and prepare orders for shipping, using work devices such as scales, hand tools, hand and/or automated stretch wrapper. Review shipping method for materials, using knowledge of shipping procedure, routes, and rates. Prepare documents such as bill of lading, export documents, and shipping instructions to route outbound shipment. Maintain a complete and accurate record of products prepared for shipment including part number, item description, number of boxes, part quantity, and pallet count for recording, accounting, and recordkeeping purposes. Spot-check counts, locations, and part numbers and verify with the computerized inventory. Confer and correspond with NPL personnel to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, and nonconformance to specifications. Load and unload delivery trucks using forklift or pallet jack, following all safety standards. Keep finished goods warehouse neat and orderly. Examine contents and compare to packing slip for verification of accuracy of incoming shipment. Ensure materials and components are available for production through timely receipt. Perform receiving inspections per company policy and procedure. Receive materials in from suppliers, documenting any discrepancies, entering PO Receipts into IQMS, and placement of material into proper location. Communicate raw material discrepancies to the Customer Service team to develop an action plan (s) to meet production and/or customer expectations. Deliver accurate and complete orders per customer specification. Stock, rotate, and verify accuracy of Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI). Ensure stocking accuracy of VMI through verification of rack label, and product part number. Communicate VMI inventory discrepancies to Customer Service team to ensure customers do not experience stock-outs. Ensure accuracy of shipment through verification of Bill of Lading. Coordinate and document preventive maintenance and daily equipment safety checks in the vehicle logbook. Reflect a positive NPI image through communication with receiving personnel at customer location when delivering goods. Obey traffic laws and follow established traffic and transportation procedures. Other duties as assigned by Plant Leader. Education and/or Experience: Valid Wisconsin Driver's License Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required with clean driving record. High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) Minimum of one-year related work experience in a manufacturing environment Requires good oral and written communication skills to interact with employees, vendors, visitors, and customers Basic computer skills, IQMS ERP system experience preferred Forklift, Pallet Jack, and Aerial lift certified with proven history of working safely Knowledgeable in use of calipers and other measurement tools Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Willing to work collaboratively with the entire team to meet the needs of our customers Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand for long periods of time; walk, handle tools, or controls; communicate and listen (hear). The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance. The employee must frequently lift and/or move parts, reports, files, office supplies, etc. weighing up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Work is performed primarily in a manufacturing environment; moderate to high levels of dirt, noise, vibrations, equipment movement hazards, fumes, chemicals/solvents, and electrical hazards. Occasional work in an office environment with use of computer and other standard office equipment. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, safety shoes, hearing protection, etc. is to be worn as applicable throughout entire shift.
