Deliver specialized nursing care in a dynamic pulmonary telemetry unit that focuses on diagnosing and treating a wide range of respiratory disorders. This role is based in Moundville, AL, and involves working on a 36-bed telemetry unit dedicated to patients with lung diseases or injuries. You will collaborate closely with respiratory therapy, physical therapy, care management, and pharmacy departments to provide comprehensive, high-quality care. Assignment Details: Location: Moundville, AL Unit: Pulmonary Telemetry (36 beds) Schedule: Flexible, offering 36 or 48 hours per week Holidays: Required Weekend Commitment: Every other weekend Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals Key Responsibilities: Provide nursing care to patients suffering from a variety of respiratory issues in a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio environment Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver specialized respiratory care Utilize expertise in both general medicine and respiratory nursing skills Maintain accurate and timely documentation and adhere to best nursing practices Qualifications and Experience: Associate Degree in Nursing (Required) Registered Nurse license in Alabama or Compact License (Temporary licenses not accepted) Must hold AHA BLS or Red Cross Certification Minimum of 2 years nursing experience; 18 months considered with highest professional licensure At least 1 year recent experience in pulmonary or telemetry specialty nursing About Moundville, AL: Moundville offers a charming small-town atmosphere combined with proximity to larger metropolitan centers.
