Places film against viewing screen to conduct initial and final reading and interpreting by examining castings for flaws such as blows, cracks, excess sand, wires, gas porosity gas holes, core shifts, segregation, etc. Ensures all developed film contains the proper number of X-ray shots, types of angles, part numbers and other requirements specified by the Company or customers. Uses densitometer to ensure film coming out of the developer meets density specifications. Ensures all film is properly developed by checking appropriate gauges, temperatures, etc. As required, types up customer reports identifying X-ray reading results and interpretations. Acquire additional certifications and credentials as required for work or career development Work on/participate in special projects as needed or assigned by management Qualifications: Education: High school diploma or equivalent required Experience: 1-2 years of directly related NDT experience Certifications/Licenses: Ability to achieve Level II certification CANDIDATES OFFERED EMPLOYMENT ARE REQUIRED TO PASS A PRE-EMPLOYMENT DRUG TEST & BACKGROUND STUDY PRIOR TO EMPLOYMENT.
