A leading retail pharmacy is seeking a dedicated Pharmacist for their Plattsburgh, NY location. Key responsibilities include registering with the state board of pharmacy as a supervising pharmacist or pharmacist in charge, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and company regulations. The role involves managing the entire pharmacy operation to meet financial goals, including budgeting, payroll, scheduling, inventory management, and third-party administration. You will also be responsible for overseeing pharmacy support personnel, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations. Additionally, you will engage in business development activities both within the store and the community. This position requires active participation in patient-centered services such as immunizations, medication therapy management (MTM), and wellness programs. You'll counsel patients and healthcare providers regarding drug usage, interactions, and side effects, while monitoring patient progress to optimize therapies. Maintaining quality improvement programs and ensuring a clean, organized workspace are also essential components of the role.
