Job Description:
As a key member of one of our L&H Modelling Teams (US, APAC or EMEA), you will play an important role in updating SCOR's L&H Reserving modelling capabilities and delivering a transformation agenda for modelling tools and processes, ensuring best practice is adopted across the markets you work with. You will be involved in the development of models and tools being used by Reserving Teams for their reporting across multiple reporting bases and jurisdictions. You will work with stakeholders to understand their modelling and reporting requirements, build and test new capabilities in the model to meet those requirements, and perform model runs to quantify impacts of changes or produce new analyses. These financial analyses may then be presented to senior management. You will also add value by continuously improving our end-to-end modelling processes and capabilities, with a focus on achieving full automation of the quarterly Model Production process, and creating innovative solutions to deliver on our ambition of operational excellence. In addition, the role will also support key stakeholder relationships, which may include IT and Data functions, Experience Analysis, Pricing, In-force management, and other Finance teams. Experience: * A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in insurance or reinsurance working in a valuation / reserving, cashflow analysis or actuarial modelling context * Either pursuing actuarial exams actively and has made good progress, or holds an actuarial academic qualification (e.g. actuarial undergraduate or master's degree) * Experience with actuarial database software, including SQL * Experience with programming languages, such as Python * Expertise with actuarial modelling platforms (Prophet, AXIS, MoSes, or equivalent) is an advantage * Strong understanding of Life and Health (re)insurance and reserving practices and products, exposure to IFRS17 or Solvency II preferred * Ability to understand and analyse financial impacts and drivers of change * Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint) Personal Competencies: * Enjoys working at pace, in a collaborative and open environment with global teams * Flexible and agile * Strong technical skill set, passionate about innovation and improving processes * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Proactive, takes strong ownership, committed to delivery * Interest in career and skill development * Fluent English speaker Required Education * Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, economics, finance, engineering, physics or equivalent quantitative field
