The Security and Loss Prevention Cluster Manager (SLP Cluster Manager) leads the effort to efficiently and effectively provide risk mitigation as well as security oversight and asset (People, Property, & Data) protection within their regional cluster (dedicated geographical region). This role creates and executes the vision for their cluster in alignment with network goals. This role's stakeholders include internal operations and support teams along with external partners. This position reports to the SLP Senior Manager and will have direct reports. Key job responsibilities Develop leaders and direct reports through training, mentorship, and project partnership Lead strategic network-wide initiatives and report on key performance indicators to improve efficiency Enable teams to identify vulnerabilities and conduct root cause analysis using data to define mitigating actions Engage, train, and influence business partners to identify and mitigate risk Oversee and lead investigations of internal and external theft and fraud; conduct interviews when appropriate Subject matter expert in evaluating and implementing improved physical and general security best practices Support recruiting efforts in order to hire, develop and influence the team and regional cluster to drive Loss Prevention best practices Implement loss mitigation strategies and manage incident response planning and execution per policy Domestic regional travel up to 50% of the time when applicable. Lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach; Stand/walk for up to 12 hours during shifts; Work in an environment where the noise level varies and can be loud; Work in an environment that is subject to variable temperatures and weather (delivery stations include outside loading departments); Continuously climb and descend stairs (applies to sites with stairs). This role covers 24/7 operations and must be able to work all shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. A day in the life As a SLP Cluster Manager, you will: Oversee a team of Security and Loss Prevention professionals providing security as a service to business customers across multiple business units within a dedicated geographical region Lead a team that performs regular physical security audits and investigates policy violations, security-related incidents, and loss events Develop, coach and remove barriers to drive alignment with network goals Support key internal and external stakeholders and keep them informed of possible risk factors About the team Worldwide Operations Security (WWOS) is the global organization that supports field Loss Prevention and is designed to support Amazon's Worldwide Operations, as well as affiliate and retail businesses, by creating and maintaining a work environment that is both prepared and secure through global security centers of excellence staffed by subject matter experts in people and asset protection. We accomplish this by creating policy and implementation guidelines; training leadership and staff; using technology to eliminate subjectivity, complexity, and variation; identifying, preparing for, and mitigating risk; and auditing our practices to ensure compliance. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS - Bachelor's degree, or 5+ years of professional or military experience - 3+ years of people management experience - A minimum of 5+ years in security service OR loss prevention OR asset protection OR investigations OR law enforcement OR 2+ years of Amazon blue-badge experience - 3+ years in implementing metric-based strategies utilizing continuous improvement concepts PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - 3+ years of operational experience in risk management, audit, data analytics, inventory control, quality assurance, retail, warehouse, distribution center services, delivery service, or supply chain - Experience in physical security systems maintenance/implementation and coordinating scope of work with security vendors - Experience with Lean Six Sigma concepts - Investigative interviewing experience; Wicklander and Zulawski, Loss Prevention Qualified, Certified Protection Professional, Loss Prevention Certified, Certified Forensic Interviewer, Certified Threat Assessment Certification or other relevant certifications - Relevant experience in business writing and communicating with a wide range of senior stakeholders - Proficient in Microsoft Office; including use of Excel pivot tables and development of charts/graphics Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
