Job Description:
Responsible for overseeing the overall office operations. Manage the makerspace equipment and inventory. Develops and implements outreach programs to support organizational mission. Coordinates educational activities and partnerships with schools and community organizations. Will work closely with and adhere to policies and procedures of the Appalachian Center for Assistive Technology (ACAT)-Hazard personnel. Essential Functions: Help oversee the business duties (ordering, stocking, maintaining website content). Manages program budget and resources to ensure effective delivery of activities. Manage and maintain makerspace equipment, education space, and inventory. Attends regional health fairs to promote center activities. Develops and implements regional summer camps and after-school programs to promote job exploration, skills, and training. Establishes and maintains collaborations/partnerships with regional universities and community colleges. Helps design and deliver educational programs for teachers, guidance counselors, and community members related to job exploration, skills, and training. Maintain routine communication with the ACAT-Hazard personnel. Performs other duties as assigned. Education: High school diploma or equivalent Experience: Some experiences in working with makerspace equipment such as 3D printers. Some CAD/3D printing experience preferred.
