A rewarding opportunity is available for an occupational therapy professional with experience in school settings to support students across multiple campuses in Mora, NM. This contract-to-hire position is ideal for practitioners skilled in OT or COTA roles within educational environments. The assignment begins ASAP and extends through mid-June, with a possible extension for Extended School Year (ESY) services. Responsibilities include providing occupational therapy services to a caseload of approximately 41 students, ranging in age from 3 to 21 years. Services will be delivered at several school sites, including elementary, middle, and high schools, tailored to individual student needs within the school day. Key Details: Location: Mora, NM Position Type: Contract to Hire Start Date: Immediate End Date: Mid June, potential ESY extension Weekly Hours: Approximately 21 hours, with possible increase to 28 hours Daily Schedule: Start around 8:00 AM or as services are scheduled; end by 3:00 PM or upon completion of daily service requirements Caseload: Around 41 students Student Population: Ages 3 to 21 years Preferred Experience and Skills: Valid Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credentials with experience in school-based therapy Strong knowledge of pediatric occupational therapy assessments and interventions within educational settings Ability to manage a caseload independently and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams Effective communication skills with students, families, and school staff This role offers a dynamic school-based environment where your expertise will directly impact the development and success of students across various grade levels.
