Histology Technician (HT) Full Time About the Role: A hospital-based laboratory is seeking an ASCP-certified Histology Technician to join its Pathology Department. Setting: Hospital with beds Key Responsibilities: Perform macroscopic and microscopic examination of tissues, preparing high-quality stained slides Conduct quality control, preventative maintenance, and tissue processing Assist with frozen sections and specialized procedures (e.g., special stains, bone marrow processing) Operate Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) and maintain accurate documentation Support lab performance improvement initiatives, instrument maintenance, and workflow efficiency Train and mentor new staff, students, and support personnel Qualifications: Education: Associate s degree in laboratory science, chemical, or biological sciences AND completion of an accredited HT/HTL program Certification: ASCP Experience: 1 2 years histology experience preferred Skills: Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, visual concentration, and excellent communication abilities Why Join?
