Emails or LinkedIn messages regarding representation will be marked as spam.Relocation assistance not offeredMust be within commutable distance to Rogers, MN or be willing to relocate at own expense We do not provide H-1B, TN, or other employment visa sponsorship Core Responsibilities:This sheet metal manufacturing engineer is responsible for quoting jobs for efficiency and manufacturability from existing and new customers. This requires proficiency with CAD software (or similar 3D modeling and drawing software that allows for the opening of and interaction with STL and STP files). You will be expected to review customer provided prints for manufacturability and produce accurate BOMs and job routings ensuring that costs align with company goals when quoting jobs. The ideal applicant will be coachable, a team player, and willing to work on the shop floor either alongside laser operators or press brake operators. Experience with welding sheet metal, or familiarity with the processes of welding, is also a must. It will be expected that this engineer might also engage in the development of new customers while strengthening the company's 50+ year relationship with our existing customers that are primarily involved in the fluid movement sector. (Familiarity with fluid movement products not necessary).Applicant must have high degree of proficiency in GD&T and industry-best practices as well as a strong ability to read and interpret 2D/3D technical drawings. Applicant MUST also have experience with laser cutting machines, forming, and welding as these are core functions of this role. Experience with fixture building a plus!The existing engineer in this role as worked with the company for 40+ years and will be working alongside the chosen applicant to train on expectations and job functions. Due to the nature of our customer base, it is required that the applicant is fluent in both written and spoken English at a professional and conversational level. This position is not entry level and represents a direct impact on company profitability and success. As such, it is imperative that the applicant is professional, respectful, and personable. We don't expect immediate perfection, but we will expect a coachable can-do attitude and someone who is willing to tackle the challenges that come with sheet metal manufacturing.Required Qualifications5+ years of manufacturing engineering, process engineering, and experience programming laser cutting machines (Mitsubishi a plus).Strong expertise in sheet metal fabrication, weld processes, GD&T, and production workflow optimization.Proven experience with estimating, quoting, BOM management, and cost-reduction initiatives.SolidWorks or similar CAD software proficiency.Preferred QualificationsFixture design, tooling optimization, and production scalability experience.Work EnvironmentDaily interaction with shop floor personnel, leadership, suppliers, and customers.Combination of engineering office responsibilities and hands-on manufacturing floor engagement.High-impact role with direct influence on efficiency, profitability, and long-term operational growth.Small shop environment with ~25-30 employees.
