Get to Know Your Team: * Hackensack Meridian Mountainside Medical Center is an 820,000-square-foot facility that offers the latest medical programs, cutting-edge technology, and patient-focused care that includes 365 beds, 1,200+ employees, and a 27-bed Emergency Room/Fast Track Unit. Responsibilities * The Dental Hygienist performs dental hygiene services for adult and pediatric patients, oversees the dental software management for the dental clinic, and the dental recall system. * Provide clinical dental hygiene services for adult, pediatric, and special needs patients, including patient education (oral hygiene instruction, nutrition counseling, and patient/parent guidance), periodontal screenings, radiographs, prophylaxis, scaling and root planing as indicated, and sealants as treatment planned. * Deliver dental hygiene care to developmentally disabled adult and pediatric patients, including appropriate patient management techniques. * Generate monthly recall lists and assist with scheduling patients as needed to support departmental work-flow. * Utilize Dentrix software for dental services and assist with updates and daily functionality as needed. * Support the onboarding of new staff and residents in thDentrixf Dentrix software. * Maintain and restock oral hygiene patient education materials. * Assist with ordering and maintaining dental hygiene instruments and supplies. * Support the maintenance of radiographs and radiographic equipment. * Provide guidance and share knowledge with residents regarding dental hygiene services when needed. * Participate in community outreach activities and programs with community partners. * Record meeting notes for monthly staff and departmental meetings. * Assist residents and front office staff as needed. * Perform additional duties as assigned; responsibilities may evolve over time. Qualifications Job Requirements: * Associate's degree in dental Hygiene. * Current Dental Hygiene license. * Dental Anesthesia certificate. * 5 years' experience in clinical dental hygiene. * BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care. * Familiarity with dental software programs. * Ability to multitask, prioritize effectively, and work as part of a team. * Excellent interpersonal skills required Preferred Job Requirements: * Bachelor's degree in dental Hygiene. Rate of pay is determined based on experience and education, and may include other pay components such as differentials and call pay based on role.
