Our mission is to create a unique, effortlessly elegant experience for our guests.Job Summary: The Security Guard is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of all guests, employees, and property at Gurney’s Montauk Resort & Seawater Spa. This position requires vigilance, professionalism, and a guest-first attitude while monitoring the premises, responding to incidents, and supporting a secure and welcoming resort environment. Key Responsibilities: Patrol resort property regularly, including guest areas, back-of-house, parking lots, and beachesMonitor security systems and access control pointsRespond quickly to emergency situations, including medical, fire, theft, or disturbancesDocument all incidents and prepare accurate security reportsEscort guests or staff when needed to ensure safetyEnforce property policies, including noise, alcohol, and visitor protocolsAssist in crowd control during events and busy periodsCollaborate with local law enforcement and emergency responders as necessarySupport lost-and-found operations and guest inquiries related to safety Qualifications: Prior security, military, or law enforcement experience preferredNYS Security Guard License required (or willingness to obtain)CPR/First Aid certification a plusStrong observational and problem-solving skillsAbility to remain calm and professional under pressureExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsFlexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand and walk for extended periodsAbility to lift up to 50 lbs occasionallyComfortable working in indoor and outdoor environments in various weather conditions Pay Range and Compensation Package: Hourly Rate: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour (based on experience and qualifications).
