Municipal Engineering - Fehr GrahamWhat you'll doServe as the primary on-site representative for construction projects, ensuring compliance with contract documents, specifications, and regulatory standards.Manage and oversee day-to-day field operations for roadways, bridges, utility installations, and other civil infrastructure projects.Coordinate with contractors, subconsultants, municipal clients, and regulatory agencies to resolve issues and maintain project progress.Perform and document field inspections, materials testing, and quality control procedures.Monitor construction schedules and budgets; proactively identify and address potential delays or overruns.Maintain accurate project records, field notes, daily reports, and change documentation.Ensure adherence to safety protocols and project-specific requirements.Provide leadership and mentorship to field staff and engineering interns.Support project managers with closeout documentation, punch lists, and final inspections.What it takesBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management preferred.Licensed EIT preferred, Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus.5+ years of experience in construction engineering, including roadway or municipal infrastructure projects.Experience with WisDOT and/or IDOT projects, specifications, and documentation procedures is highly preferred.Proficiency in construction inspection, documentation, and contract administration.Familiarity with field tools and software such as AASHTOWare Project, Microsoft Excel, and CAD-based systems.Strong communication skills with the ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams.Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites in the region.What you'll getYou'll have plenty of opportunities to grow professionally at our progressive firm, which started in 1973.
