Travel Respiratory Therapist - Registered RT/RRT

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 3+ years of experience for a night shift position at a Level 1 trauma, tertiary teaching hospital in Portland, ME. Job Details • Night shift hours, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, • Full-time respiratory therapy department covering the entire facility with a team of 14-16 RRTs, • Patient population includes adult acute and critical care, pediatric acute care, NICU, PICU, and ED patients, • Patient ratios: 1:25 for acute care and 1:8 for critical care, • Ventilators and equipment include: Dräger V500 and VN500, Hamilton T1 and C1, Respironics V30, V60, and Trilogy line, Airvo, and Vapotherm, • EMR: Epic, • On-call requirement: 2-hour call for the oncoming shift, • Floating required across adult, pediatric, NICU/PICU, and ED settings; 25-mile float policy between facilities may apply, • 26-week contract, Job Requirements • RRT credential required, • Minimum 3 years of respiratory therapy experience, • Experience at a tertiary, academic teaching hospital required, • Level 1 trauma center experience required, • NICU, PICU, pediatric acute care, and ED experience required, • BLS required; ACLS preferred; NRP required for NICU, • Epic EMR experience preferred, • Driver's license required for consideration, • 2 professional references required for consideration, • SSN and DOB required for consideration, • License required if applicable, Additional Information • Preferred experience includes NICU, PICU, and cardiothoracic respiratory care, • Scrubs are provided or flexible attire is acceptable, • Use of AirPods, laptops, and cell phones on the unit is prohibited, • Candidates residing within 90 miles of any MaineHealth facility (in Maine or New Hampshire) are considered local and may not be eligible for travel pay rates, • Local travelers are not eligible for contract renewals or extensions, • Candidates who have worked at any MaineHealth facility within the past 12 months should disclose this information, • Travel pairs or groups are not permitted
