Job Description:
We are supporting a medical device client of ours who is seeking a Software Verification Engineer to support verification activities across their IPG device, tablet wand, and tablet-based software. This role plays a critical part in ensuring product quality, safety, and regulatory compliance through rigorous software testing and verification practices. This is a 6-9 month contract role available to start ASAP! Job Title: Software Verification Engineer Location: Minneapolis, MN Pay Rate: 35-45hr, depends on experience Key Responsibilities Testing Strategy & Leadership Lead and support software verification activities across multiple integrated systems Develop, modify, and manually execute software test protocols for current products Drive a risk-based verification approach to ensure high-risk features and failure modes receive appropriate test coverage Own and maintain verification efforts across all system components, including IPG device, tablet wand, and tablet software Verification Execution & Documentation Execute manual test protocols and ensure accurate, thorough test coverage Capture, document, and maintain verification evidence to support compliance and regulatory requirements Ensure traceability between system requirements and verification activities Continuous Improvement & Collaboration Identify gaps in test coverage and improve verification strategies and protocols Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering teams and external partners/vendors Support ongoing updates and enhancements to verification processes and documentation Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical field Minimum of 1+ year of experience in software verification or validation testing Experience with manual testing in embedded systems, firmware, or medical device environments preferred Familiarity with GUI-based testing and system-level verification Experience working with test protocols, test execution, and defect tracking tools Benefits 4 days in office, 1 day remote Medical, Dental, & Vision with HSA and FSA plans PTO Plan Retirement plans including a 401K match Supplemental Life Insurance & Disability Plans ESOP If this is a role that interests you and you’d like to learn more, click apply now and a recruiter will be in touch with you to discuss this great opportunity.
