Job Summary: The Front End Operations Manager is responsible for managing front end and store office operations while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and employee engagement. This role requires proactive problem-solving, effective communication, and thorough training of front-end partners. You will oversee compliance with office functions, including AML, lottery, and Western Union transactions, and ensure a clean and safe store environment for customers. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Manage hiring, training, performance appraisal, and development of front-end staff. Ensure comprehensive training for partners within your departments. Provide exemplary customer service and resolve any customer complaints. Protect store sales through accurate front-end procedures and compliance measures. Conduct training on cash handling, customer service, and store policies. Oversee daily office audits and bank deposit records for accuracy. Stay current on policies regarding checks, credit, and EBT transactions. Frequently open/close store for operations, ensuring safety and presentation standards. Maintain proper shrink management and implement controls to mitigate risks. Ensure adherence to hygiene and safety standards throughout the store. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Comprehensive knowledge of checkout and store processes. Understanding of state laws regarding alcohol, tobacco, and lottery sales. Familiarity with anti-money laundering regulations. Proficiency in cash register operation. Basic math skills. Ability to communicate effectively with partners and customers. Strong leadership and motivational skills. Capacity to produce reports and correspondences. Attention to detail and confidentiality. Education, Experience and Qualifications: At least 18 years of age required; 21 years for driving Company business. Associate’s Degree in a related field plus two years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Obtain necessary certifications through Company LEARN/LMS program within 2 weeks of hiring. Physical Demands: Standing or walking for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 40 lbs regularly, and occasionally up to 75 lbs. Requires use of visual and auditory senses. Work Environment: Primarily in a retail setting.
