Position OverviewAt Charter Wire, safety isn"t just a requirement—it"s a shared responsibility and a core part of our culture. As a Safety Specialist, you"ll be a hands-on leader in creating a safe and healthy work environment across our operations. You"ll collaborate with teams, lead training, drive compliance, and help uncover root causes to prevent future incidents. Your work will directly protect our people and strengthen our safety-first mindset.? What You"ll DoLead and support safety initiatives that protect employees and reduce riskEnsure all employees receive role-specific safety trainingPartner with the Safety Team to maintain compliance with state and federal regulationsInvestigate incidents and implement proactive exposure-reduction strategiesConduct and document safety inspections and auditsDevelop and maintain Risk Assessments and Safe Work PracticesCoordinate new hire safety onboardingFacilitate and participate in Safety Teams across the businessHelp teams identify root causes and build action plans to prevent recurrenceMaintain OSHA-compliant documentation and safety systemsPromote consistency in safety programs across all Charter Mfg locations✠What You BringMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor"s degree in Occupational Safety & Health or equivalent experience3+ years of safety experienceExperience leading cross-functional teams and delivering safety trainingPractical knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety process improvementFamiliarity with basic medical terminologyStrong communication, organization, and influencing skillsPreferred Qualifications:Experience in a manufacturing environmentMaster"s degree in Occupational Safety & Health or related fieldExperience managing safety content in a Learning Management SystemExperience working with regulatory agencies?
