Apprentice Facility Technician

Join a dedicated healthcare team as a Facility Technician responsible for maintaining and repairing essential systems and equipment. This role involves receiving and completing maintenance work orders, prioritizing urgent repairs, and performing preventative maintenance on mechanical, electrical, HVAC, power management, and safety systems. Essential Responsibilities: Respond promptly to maintenance requests and prioritize critical repairs. Inspect facilities and systems regularly to ensure optimal operation. Perform basic repairs and coordinate with specialists for complex issues. Schedule maintenance to minimize disruption to healthcare operations. Assist in emergency responses such as fire alarms and safety codes. Maintain compliance with privacy regulations concerning Protected Health Information (PHI). Foster professional communication with patients, team members, contractors, and external agencies. Education: No formal education required; completion of an approved apprenticeship program is preferred. Experience: Previous experience in a similar maintenance environment is advantageous. Licenses/Certifications: Valid driver's license and auto insurance meeting regional requirements if driving is necessary. Journeyman licensure is preferred. Skills and Abilities: Physical stamina and self-direction are essential. Ability to lift and move heavy objects, occasionally up to 100 lbs, and stand or walk for most of the workday.
