Job Description: SUNY Orange is seeking an innovative and student-centered professional to join our dynamic team as the Associate Director of Career Success. This leadership role, housed within the Center for Student Success, plays a pivotal part in fulfilling our mission to empower students to achieve their academic and career aspirations. The Associate Director will lead strategic career success initiatives, build and strengthen employer partnerships, and deliver programming that bridges students' academic experiences with professional opportunities. Work in close collaboration with the Executive Director of Workforce Development and Faculty on career focused programs and initiatives. Evening and weekend work at both campuses and other sites as needed. Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain strong relationships with local, regional, and national employers to identify workforce needs and secure job opportunities for students and alumni. Design and implement career development programming such as resume and interview workshops, job search seminars, and employer panels. Oversee job placement processes, campus-wide job bank portal, and employer engagement strategies, ensuring alignment with institutional goals. Supervise and develop career services staff to deliver individualized and group career coaching. Facilitate campus-wide career-related events including job fairs and employer visits. Promote and support the use of career exploration tools (e.g., Focus2, ONet, Handshake). Collaborate with academic departments and pathway coaches to integrate career readiness across the student experience. Use data to assess impact and drive strategic improvements in Career Services. Maintain Career section on the department webpage and ensure information is current. Maintain strong professional development engagement, including membership in NACE. Develop marketing and outreach strategies to promote career services and events to students, faculty and employers. Ensure job placement software is up-to-date and the job placement opportunities are current. Serve as a resource and advocate for students' career development needs across the institution. Requirements: Education Required: Bachelor's Degree or higher. Experience Required: Minimum three years of progressive experience in career services, employer relations, workforce development, or a related area. Demonstrated ability to build and sustain employer partnerships and organize large-scale events such as career fairs. Utilization of career services technology platforms. Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Characteristics: Two years' experience in vocational counseling, job/internship placement and/or career support in the education sector. Knowledgeable about the local and regional labor market. Familiar with career-related software. Certified as a Myers-Briggs Type Indicator facilitator. Ability to effectively establish and maintain working relationships with supervising personnel, coworkers, all college employees and the public. Ability to manage multiple projects. Must be able to travel between the college's two campuses and other sites. Bilingual Skills. This is a Staff & Chair, Grade 60, 12 month position and is contingent upon the continued availability of grant funds.
