Principal Quality Engineer

Principal Quality Engineer (Aerospace) Location: Onsite, Middletown, CT Pay Rate: $62/hour 4 Corner Resources is hiring a Principal Quality Engineer to lead advanced quality activities within an aerospace manufacturing environment. This onsite role focuses on AS9100 system leadership, AS9102 First Article Inspection (FAI) ownership, and hands-on resolution of complex supplier and documentation issues. The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise, strong supplier engagement skills, and the ability to mentor a quality team supporting high-reliability aerospace components. Key Responsibilities Serve as the site expert for AS9100, supporting audits, system improvements, and compliance initiatives Own and approve AS9102 First Article Inspections, including resolution of incomplete or nonconforming FAIs Work directly with suppliers to close documentation gaps and prevent production delays Lead root cause investigations and corrective actions related to quality and FAI issues Guide and support a cross-functional quality team (engineers, inspectors, technicians) Improve quality workflows, documentation controls, and inspection processes Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain to strengthen quality gates Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline 15+ years of aerospace quality experience, including senior-level responsibility Proven hands-on experience with AS9102 FAIs and supplier coordination Strong working knowledge of AS9100 requirements Experience leading quality teams and complex quality investigations Eligibility to work in an ITAR-regulated environment Preferred ASQ CQE, AS9100 Lead Auditor, or Lean Six Sigma certification Experience with electronic FAI tools (e.g., Net-Inspect) 4CR1
