Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) | Miami, Florida

An exciting opportunity exists for a licensed Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) to lead regulatory and operational activities at a newly built sterile compounding pharmacy in Miami, FL. This part-time role (~20 hours/week) offers a unique chance to guide a startup environment with strong remote leadership support and an expanding scope of services. The pharmacy specializes in GLP-1 medications and hormone replacement therapy, primarily focusing on female hormones with plans to add testosterone products. The site operates Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with on-site and remote teams collaborating closely. Key Responsibilities: Serve as the designated Pharmacist-in-Charge, with your name on the pharmacy license Ensure compliance with all state and federal pharmacy laws and regulations Oversee the launch of sterile compounding operations alongside ongoing non-sterile compounding Review and update policies, procedures, and quality standards related to pharmacy operations Collaborate with the Director of Pharmacy Operations starting soon Provide pharmacist coverage during operational hours as needed Qualifications and Experience: Active Florida Pharmacist License required Multi-state licensure is highly desired, especially in AK, IL, IA, KS, MI, NE, VA, TX, KY, WV; additional states such as OH, MA, and LA are advantageous Prior experience as a Pharmacist-in-Charge or Pharmacy Manager Strong knowledge of pharmacy compliance and operational workflows Experience with pharmacy startups or compounding pharmacies preferred Retail pharmacy background also acceptable; willingness to train on compounding if necessary This contract position requires an immediate start due to the prior PIC's departure.
