Job Description:
The one-year Athletic Training Residency provides participants with advanced training in orthopedic sports medicine and arthroscopic surgery, with exposure to a broad-spectrum of upper and lower extremity conditions. Baptist Health Athletic Training residents will gain robust knowledge and experience in the clinic, operating room, and research setting within a high volume, multi-specialty orthopedic practice. Outside of the operating room, residents care for a wide variety of patients and work hand-in-hand with fellowship-trained, board-certified orthopedic surgeons and Certified Athletic Trainer preceptors within Baptist Health Orthopedic Care. During clinic, faculty and residents are supported by allied health professionals including a dedicated surgical coordinator, physician assistants, medical assistants, and X-Ray techs. Within the practice, there are also doctoral-trained personnel, certified clinical research coordinators and students who support the residents with their research duties.
