CT Technologist - Full-time - Nights Essential Duties & Responsibilities: * Access patient's condition prior to administering contrast media or performing radiography procedure * Perform radiographic procedures as prescribed by physician determining proper technique through selection of voltage, current and exposure time. * Position patient for the proper view of affected area and instruct patient on proper physiological requirements for procedure. * Prepare contracts media and administer to patient either intravenously or through other body cavities. * Ensure that required consent forms are signed prior to procedure. * Chart completion of exams and other pertinent information in patient charts. * Discuss procedure results with departmental supervisor when indicated. * Participate in quality assurance monitoring and recording outcomes. * Operate portable radiographic equipment for performance of procedures throughout hospital including medical/surgical and cardiac care units and recover and emergency rooms. * Work control desk and perform PACS duties as needed. * Ensure accurate PACS operation and transmission of images for interpretation. * Teach radiography technology students proper procedures, x-rays physics, equipment operation, anatomy and duties and responsibilities of RT. * Transport and assist other transport patients to/from imaging departments.
