Industrial Maintenance Technician

Job Description Job Description Job description: Summary: The Maintenance Technician is a hands-on role responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of equipment to ensure optimal production operations. This position supports continuous improvement of production equipment reliability and includes on-the-job training opportunities to further develop technical skills. This role requires schedule flexibility, including availability to work day and night shifts as needed based on operational demands. Bilingual in English and Spanish. Essential Functions:Perform hands-on preventive maintenance inspections and service on production equipment.Troubleshoot, adjust, and repair mechanical, electrical, and welding-related issues to ensure optimal machine performance.Maintain detailed and accurate maintenance logs for all equipment.Manage machine parts inventory to minimize production downtime.Conduct scheduled maintenance on production machines while strictly adhering to safety standards.Respond to production emergencies and perform timely repairs to minimize operational disruptions.Maintain and safeguard tools and equipment required for daily duties.Communicate effectively with the Maintenance Supervisor regarding equipment condition, repairs, and operational needs.Proactively report issues that may impact machine functionality, safety, or production output. Skills and Experience: Required:2+ years of hands-on mechanical maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment. - Electrical experience and mechanical aptitude. - Welding experience.Metal fabrication experience. - General knowledge of plumbing. - Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. - Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. - Clear verbal communication skills. - Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Preferred: - Prior experience in food manufacturing or food production environments. Physical DemandsFrequent bending, twisting, and lifting up to 50 lbs. - Prolonged standing and walking. - Ability to visually inspect machinery and equipment.
