Job Description & Requirements Specialty: OR - Operating Room Discipline: RN Start Date: 03/23/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse (RN) Camden, NJ 13 Weeks 36 Hours/week Days 12 (11:00 AM - 11:00 PM) Job Summary We are seeking an experienced General Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse (RN) to join our surgical team at facility. In this critical role, you will provide high-quality nursing care in a fast-paced operating room environment, ensuring patient safety, coordinating perioperative care, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. This position requires a commitment to excellence in trauma and surgical nursing, with a focus on Level 1 trauma cases. Key Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care to patients in the operating room, including preoperative assessment, intraoperative monitoring, and postoperative handoff. Assist in surgical procedures, ensuring sterile technique and adherence to safety protocols. Monitor patient vital signs, administer medications, and respond to emergencies during surgery. Coordinate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other OR staff to facilitate efficient workflow and patient care. Maintain accurate documentation of patient care, including surgical records and quality monitoring. Ensure compliance with infection control standards and regulatory requirements. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and safety. Demonstrate strong organizational skills in managing OR schedules, equipment, and resources. Qualifications and Requirements Active New Jersey (NJ) RN license required. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree preferred. Minimum of 3 years of professional OR nursing experience. Level 1 trauma experience required. Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) required. Excellent attention to detail for ensuring patient safety and quality monitoring. Strong organizational skills for coordinating care across the OR. Ability to work in a high-stress environment and make quick, critical decisions. Commitment to teamwork, patient advocacy, and continuous professional development. Work Schedule and Additional Details Shift : 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM (11a-11p). Holiday Requirements : 1 summer holiday and 1 fall/winter holiday. If off on the holiday, must work the day before or the day after. Must also work one evening shift and one day shift. Additionally, must work a winter hallmark and spring hallmark event.
