Physician - Psychiatrist

This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific eligibility requirements per VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) & eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after review of the EDRP application. The initial cut-off date for referral of eligible applications will be 3/30/2026, with subsequent cut-off dates every 2 weeks. The incumbent may also supervise trainees, including medical students and residents, in all of these settings. * Practices safety, environmental, and/or infection control methods. Instructs other personnel assigned to health care team on preventive medicine programs and other appropriate medical activities and functions. Administrative: * Provide oversight and leadership for the clinical functions of staff and trainees associated with their treatment teams, including RNPs and clinical pharmacists. * Serve in hospital or service level committees such as Medication Management Committee or Pain Committee. * Supports and enhances VAPAHCS philosophy and goals. * Responsible for ensuring Research outcome studies are routinely conducted according to VAPAHCS policies and procedures.
