Handsome Asset Solutions is a growing property management company overseeing a portfolio of 120+ residential and commercial units, with a strong concentration in Section 8 properties. Our mission is to operate high-performing, well-maintained assets while delivering reliable housing and consistent returns.We are seeking a highly experienced Property Manager to take full ownership of our property management vertical and run it like their own business.Position OverviewThe Property Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day and strategic oversight of our rental portfolio. This role requires deep experience in property management operations, strong familiarity with Section 8 processes, and the ability to lead teams, systems, and vendors efficiently.This is a leadership role with full accountability for performance, compliance, tenant experience, and operational efficiency.Key ResponsibilitiesOperational LeadershipOversee all day-to-day property management operations across 120+ units Build, implement, and optimize systems, processes, and workflows Drive operational efficiency, cost control, and performance metrics Act as the primary decision-maker for the management vertical Section 8 / Compliance ManagementManage all Housing Authority relationships and communications Ensure full compliance with Section 8 regulations, inspections, and timelines Oversee rent reasonableness, and recertifications Proactively manage inspection readiness and pass rates Team ManagementLead and manage internal staff (handyman, admins, leasing agents) Recruit, train, and develop team members Establish KPIs and hold team accountable to performance standards Create a culture of ownership and accountability Maintenance & Vendor OversightOversee maintenance operations, work order systems, and turnaround times Manage vendor relationships (contractors, maintenance crews, etc.) Ensure quality control and cost efficiency on all repairs and capex projects Coordinate unit turnovers and readiness Financial PerformanceMonitor rent collections, delinquencies, and overall cash flow Improve collection rates, especially within Section 8 frameworks Review and manage operating budgets Identify opportunities to increase Net Operating Income and reduce expenses Tenant & Asset ManagementOversee leasing, renewals, and vacancy reduction strategies Handle escalated tenant issues and conflict resolution Maintain high occupancy and tenant retention rates Ensure properties are maintained to a high standard Qualifications5+ years of property management experience (required) Strong experience with Section 8 / Housing Choice Voucher programs (highly preferred) Proven track record managing 75+ units or similar scale Experience leading and managing teams Strong operational mindset with systems-building ability Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills Financial literacy (budgeting, collections, expense control) Familiarity with property management software (Doorloop) Ideal Candidate ProfileOperates with an "owner mindset" and takes full accountability Highly organized, process-driven, and detail-oriented Comfortable making decisions and solving problems independently Strong communicator with both tenants and internal teams Thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment What We OfferTarget pay is $105,000 - $145,000 (Base + bonus structure)Full-time, stable career in a growing real estate investment companyProfessional development and growth opportunitiesBe part of a high-performing, fast-paced sales team20 days of PTOHomebuyers Assistance ProgramWhy This RoleThis is a unique opportunity to take full control of a growing property management operation and scale it.
