Under the direction of the Maintenance and Tooling Lead, the Service Technician III (Tooling Technician) performs many duties focusing on the daily preventive and predictive maintenance molding machines, dies and support equipment. These duties include mold repairs and preventative maintenance, mold lubrication, elimination of oil leaks, water treatment, conducting safety, environmental, and 6S audits, and other duties as assigned. This role requires a solution focused and motivated person that communicates well.Shift: 1st shift (6:45am-3:00pm) Monday-FridayCompensation: $23.00 - $30.00 per hour (depending on experience and training)Responsibilities:EHS and 6S Ensure safe work environment LOTO authorization Demonstrate active preventive engagement in EHS through performing SMAT & TF Observations in addition to safety/environmental reporting Identify, eliminate, and / or communicate any unsafe conditions Complying to all PPE requirements Follow all Certainteed Siding and EHS Policies Conduct and report on required safety, environmental and 6S audits Maintain and improve cleanliness of assigned working areas Complete assigned monthly safety walkthrough Maintenance Work from schematic, wiring diagrams, rough sketches, drawings, or manuals. Test various electrical circuits with a variety of test equipment Recommend and/or maintain spare parts inventory of OEM parts and supplies Assemble and/or fit together cables to form complete units Gather tools and supplies to be used at work site, keep tools in proper location when not in use Check operations of machines lubricate equipment as specified, keep machines clean and make minor adjustments Intermediate knowledge of machining equipment such as mills, lathes, drill presses, and grinders, as well as proper operation of hand and power tools Perform advanced mechanical repairs on molds Have a intermediate knowledge of CMMS system (ex. SAP Personas) Assist mold changes as needed Have intermediate knowledge of Fluid power systems Perform intermediate in press mold repairs as needed Perform mold preventative maintenance Demonstrate proficiency of chemical treatment equipment, air leak detection and other preventative maintenance equipment Intermediate fabrication Troubleshoot issues Skill Development Participate in training regarding maintenance related topics including safety, electricity, fluid power, fabrication, equipment specific training Utilize training to assist in skill development of other technical personnel Teamwork Collaborate on solutions to challenges that arise Be an active team member of two or more chartered teams The ability to lead / co-lead a WCM team Solution focused What do you bring? The Tooling and Service Technician 3 will be required to identify mechanical and hydraulic issues with various equipment focusing on molds and correct as needed as appropriate per level. The primary focus is on molds, but includes any facility equipment.
