This is an on-site role reporting to the Logistics Manager-AmerJob Type: Full-timeBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceEmployee assistance programHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offVision insuranceSchedule:8 hour shiftMonday to FridayAbility to commute/relocate:Pittsburgh, PA: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)Application Question(s):Please provide your salary requirementsExperience:Logistics: 1 year- 5 years (Preferred)Work Location: In personResponsibilitiesPOSITION SUMMARY:Responsibility for all aspects of motor carrier shipments.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Schedule truck shipments for the U.S. domestic market in a cost-effective manner.Freight rate benchmarking and negotiation.Act as a liaison with non-asset based and asset-based dump, van, flatbed and less-than-truckload carriers.Communicate with and support U.S. operations, suppliers and customers.Scheduling of international shipments in an efficient and cost-effective manner.Competent with truck routing, freight rates, container costs.Act as a liaison with freight forwarders and customs brokers to facilitate export and import shipments.Establish and maintain professional rapport with suppliers and customers.Communicate with and support U.S. and overseas operations and overseas customers. QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree in supply chain management (preferred) or equivalent experience.Experience coordinating domestic bulk and packaged shipments.Knowledge of international trade terms (Incoterms 2010) and required documentation.Experience using and proficient with Microsoft Office and Google Applications.Ship chartering experience preferred, but not required.Letter of Credit experience preferred, but not required.REQUIRED SKILLS:Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Excellent communication and facilitative skills.Ability to prioritize tasks and function well independently.COMPENSATION: Compensation based on experience.About UsAperam is a global leader in stainless, electrical, and specialty steels, as well as recycling and renewables, serving customers in over 40 countries.
