An opportunity is available for an experienced Independent Retail Pharmacist to provide personalized pharmaceutical services within a community-focused setting. This role requires a licensed professional who values patient-centered care and aims to foster strong relationships with customers while ensuring the safe and effective use of medications. Key responsibilities include managing retail pharmaceutical services such as the procurement, distribution, storage, and administration of medications. The pharmacist will oversee pharmacy staff, review prescriptions for accuracy, counsel patients, maintain records, and uphold compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. This position reports directly to the Chief Clinical Officer and demands a collaborative approach with healthcare professionals to support community health. Location: McArthur, CA Job Type: Contract Qualifications & Desired Experience: Licensed to practice pharmacy in the State of California Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Pharm.D. from an accredited college of Pharmacy Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Knowledge of federal, state, and local retail pharmacy regulations Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and communication skills Able to manage time effectively and maintain organized records Proven ability to collaborate across multi-level teams Responsibilities: Compound, dispense, and counsel on medications and pharmaceutical products Oversee pharmacy technicians and interns ensuring legal compliance Maintain quality assurance, controlled substance security, and hazardous waste protocols Engage customers with pharmacy services and programs Resolve third-party prescription issues and report medication errors Build positive relationships with patients, healthcare providers, and staff Participate actively in continuing education and development Working Conditions & Physical Requirements: Flexibility to work beyond standard hours and in various positions when needed Ability to sit, stand, bend, lift up to 25 lbs., and move intermittently during shifts Maintain professional appearance and conduct aligned with organizational mission and ethics This role emphasizes personalized, community-driven pharmacy care that sets independent pharmacies apart from chain retailers.
