Title:Senior Residential Property AccountantLocation: McLean, VA (position is fully remote. Candidates must live in the area) Schedule:40 hours per weekCompensation: $85,000-95,000 plus bonusWe are currently hiring for a Senior Residential Property Accountant with a growing REIT in McLean, VA. This role is newly created due to growth, will report directly to the Accounting Manager, and will be responsible for supporting the full-cycle accounting and financial reporting for a portfolio of properties, including month-end close entries, cash reporting, fixed assets, general ledger maintenance, and assisting with external auditors for year-end audit.This position is fully remote, however, candidates must live in the DC Metro area or surrounding locations. Duties/Responsibilities:· Responsible for preparation and review of financial statements for assigned portfolio of properties· Prepare month-end journal entries, record monthly adjusting and accrual entries· Ensure all transactions are properly recorded and posted in the accounting system· Reconcile bank accounts and general ledger accounts on a regular basis· Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for all propertiesRequired Qualifications:· Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance· 2-8 years of accounting experience required· Residential Property Accounting experience required
