Customers enjoy watching their meals being prepared while seated at the counter, which makes for a interactive dining experience.Job Overview:We are looking for an experienced Short Order Cook, or a candidate who is willing to learn our kitchen, to join our team, working alongside the two owners in a fast-paced kitchen. You'll play a role in preparing meals, maintaining a clean workspace, and engaging with customers. Though you'll begin with general kitchen duties, you will eventually train to work the grill.Responsibilities:Prepare meals according to our restaurant's standards, ensuring quality and consistency.Keep a clean, organized workspace, especially with customers seated nearby.Engage with customers while focusing on food preparation.Use kitchen equipment, including slicers, following proper safety and hygiene practices.Work in a fast-pace kitchen cooperatively with the team.Learn to work the grill and eventually take on full grill shifts.Take part in rotating kitchen duties.Qualifications:Experience in kitchen environments, with food preparation and equipment use.Ability to maintain a clean workspace in an open kitchen.Familiarity with fast-paced kitchen settings.Strong communication and customer service skills.Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks, including grilling.You may apply through Indeed or call between the hours of 7 AM and 2 PM on Wednesday through Sunday and ask for Darlene.
